Culvert replacement was needed to open passage upstream, to the headwaters of Beaver Creek. The passage created miles of access for the fish to reach suitable habitat and spawning areas. Those areas were inaccessible to trout due to an improperly placed culvert. Rock placement and reinforcement of existing overhead boom structures was required. The eight structures provide deep undercut banks and holes that are ideal for trout habitat. Additionally, brush bundles were placed to not only narrow the channel but also deepen it and undercut the banks.
